Wilcot Cricket Club: Junior Section

Dear Parent / Carer

On behalf of Wilcot Cricket Club I would like to welcome your child to our club.

This season the club will provide opportunities for local juniors to receive coaching by qualified coaches who are trained and have been screened for their suitability for working with young people.

We welcome parents to all training sessions and matches and value your support. Below is some information about training times and dates, and details regarding travel arrangements, kit and club registration.

Training sessions will take place each Saturday from 10.30am – 12.00 starting on Saturday 26April until early September (we will notify before the last session). This year our U9s will compete in various festivals on Sunday mornings throughout the summer – more details to follow. In addition, our U11s will compete in matches across Kennet on Friday evenings – again more details to follow.

Arrangements should be made for your child to travel to and from training sessions, festivals and matches. It would be appreciated, if children can arrive promptly and are collected on time at the end of each session. If you are going to be late picking up your child, please contact Ged Montgomery on 07831 452150 and let him know.

All training sessions and festivals are free. However, the club has a membership fee of £40.00 for the 2014 season and this should be paid as soon as possible. This season we have included a Club Shirt within the fee and should you wish to purchase additional kit this can be done through our online shop at www.kalibazar.co.uk/shop.ink?club=wilcotcc

We would be grateful if you could complete the enclosed junior club membership form. For the safety of your child it is important that the club is informed of any medical condition or allergies that may be relevant should your child fall ill or be involved in an accident at the club.

Also, if you have any concern regarding any issue whatsoever, please contact the Club’s Child Welfare Officer Alex Hickman on 07590 046192.

Finally please ensure you keep tabs on our website www.wilcotcricket.co.uk as almost all announcements are made via here, for example if training is rained off. Please also ensure we have an up to date email address for you as this is our way of communicating with you regarding specific events.

We thank you for your co-operation and I look forward to meeting at some point in the future.

Yours sincerely,

Peter Williams

Chairman
